Revised AASM bylaws adopted by voting members

Revisions and amendments to the AASM bylaws have been adopted by AASM voting members, with 96 percent of participating members approving the amended and restated bylaws.

The AASM Board of Directors identified and recommended the changes to better align with the overall strategic direction of the organization. You can read a detailed summary of the changes, which were reviewed by legal counsel and presented for adoption by the membership.

An email with voting instructions was sent on July 23 to all eligible voting members who are a Regular, Fellow or Emeritus member. Votes were accepted through Aug. 5.

The AASM thanks all voting members who participated in this important process.
